Side Delights® and the farmers who grow them produce passion videos to tell the story from “soil to shelf”.

San Francisco, CA  (August 6, 2018) ­ Side Delights® announced a new video series to tell the story of their portfolio of potato products how they are grown and why they remain the perfect comfort food.

In a recent study about 2018-food trends1, comfort food took the lead.  An article referencing the study noted that the ³changing economic, political and social factors will drive consumers to choose nostalgic and comfort foods.² Typically, foods that provide a nostalgic or sentimental value, and are generally associated with simple preparation can be considered comfort food. The term can be traced back to a 1966 Palm Beach Post article describing it as a food associated with the security of childhood.  The partners of the Fresh Solutions Network® (FSN) and Side Delights® brand of fresh potatoes are reminding consumers of the ease and comfort of potatoes with two new ³potato passion² videos.  The Side Delights® video tells the story of the simplicity of potatoes, and beckons viewers back to their childhood, ³When you helped Mom peel that first potato, you became a foodie.² The video reminds shoppers that America¹s favorite side dish can be the foundation of a fantastic meal.  Potatoes can turn a steak into dinner or grilled food into a picnic, and bring a family together.

The trade video tells the story of FSN¹s approach to farming: from the soil to the shelf, following their farmer¹s journeys to produce and provide the best potatoes to shoppers who not only want quality products but care about how and where they are produced.  FSN farmers own, protect and sustain the land and grow and pack their own potatoes, which are used to create a portfolio of products that shoppers seek.
