A Cut Above® potatoes elevate America’s #1 side dish at Foodservice

Newport Beach, CA (July 19, 2021) Fresh Solutions Network, LLC will be featuring their A Cut Above® whole fresh and fresh-cut potato line at this week’s PMA Foodservice Expo in Monterey California.  A Cut Above uses select White and Russet potato varieties, some with higher solid content and lower water, to yield consistently superior house-made potato chips and French fries.

A Cut Above potatoes are premium-quality whole White and Russet potatoes packed in 50 lbs. bags and cartons.  A Cut Above is also available in 30 lbs. fresh-cut cartons; Russet steak-cut fries, White shoestring fries, White 3/8” fries- skin on, and White 3/8” fries without skin. A Cut Above now also carries a diced Red potato with skin on, especially important for the growing breakfast trade. These potatoes enable foodservice operators to capitalize on what patrons want. A 2021 Consumer Attitude & Usage Study conducted by Potatoes USA reveals that “any potato option” and “Fries” are America’s #1 and #2 favorite side dish AND takeout side dish. The study also re-confirms that potatoes are America’s favorite vegetable.

“Since 2014, we’ve been bringing the foodservice sector premium-quality potatoes that make superior house-made chips and fries – a very profitable and growing segment for on-premise accounts,” said Kathleen Triou, President and CEO of Fresh Solutions Network. “The superior taste and appearance of these products give operators the best foundation to create signature potato items that will keep their patrons coming back for more.”

A Cut Above potatoes is available exclusively from the partners of Fresh Solutions Network. Basin Gold Cooperative from Washington, Sun-Glo of Idaho, and Sterman Masser Farms of Pennsylvania will be attending PMA Foodservice Expo on behalf of the Network.
