Todd represents the 3rd generation of the Michael family to farm potatoes in central Ohio. Growing up in his father’s footsteps (literally) he worked every job there was on the farm by the age of 16. Todd received his BS in Agricultural Business and Vegetable Production from Ohio State University and currently serves on their Agriculture Alumni Board. After college Todd expanded the business, from only selling white potatoes in season in Ohio to a year round grower and supplier of all types of potatoes, marketing throughout the Midwest. Vertically integrated with fresh, dehydrated and fresh-cut operations in three states, Todd is well grounded in the industry.
He is the recipient of several industry awards, including the American Vegetable Grower Achievement Award, the NPC/EPA Environmental Stewardship Award, the OVPGA Distinguished Service Award, and 3 Golden Potato Awards.
Todd served as the president of the National Potato Council and Ohio Potato Growers association. He has also held leadership positions with the United States Potato Board, including Chairman of the Board and Domestic Marketing Committee Co-Chair.
