Steve believes in doing his best to serve everyone he interacts with. He is passionate about the potato industry and helping to improve it.
Steve grew up on a potato farm near Buxton, ND. This is where his work ethic was formed.
NoKota Packers is an offshoot of our family (my dad, uncle, cousin & myself). We started it to market our own potatoes. Over the years NoKota grew beyond the farm.
Steve is currently the President & CEO of NoKota Packers.
Steve has attended the PMA Leadership seminar. He is on the Marketing and Promotion committee for the Northern Plains Potato Growers Association. He currently serves as a consultant to United Potato Growers of America. In the past he has been the president for his local Farm Bureau, served on church council and been president. He was involved with Grand Forks County Ag club and served as treasurer, VP and President.
He graduated from the University of Minnesota in Crookston with an Associate degree in Agriculture Business, with honors. Steve has participated in Dale Carnegie sales and leadership training.
Steve has been with NoKota Packers for 35 years. Prior to that he farmed with his Dad.
He volunteers at his church, donates blood (over 8 gallons), and has worked with the Great Plains Food Bank.
His hobbies are golf, going to NBA games and cars, especially Mustangs.
Steve has a great love for his family, his kids, grand kids and Kelly. He spends as much time with them as he can.
