Fresh Solutions Network reveals exciting new line of “house-made quality” potatoes
San Francisco, CA (October 4, 2014) Fresh Solutions Network, LLC today announced the debut of “A Cut Above®”, a new line of fresh whole and fresh-cut potatoes for the foodservice channel. A Cut Above uses select White and Russet potato varieties with higher solids content and lower water to yield consistently superior house made potato chips and French fries.
A Cut Above uses special, premium-quality whole White and Russet potatoes packed in 50 lbs. bags and cartons. A Cut Above is also available in 30 lbs. fresh-cut cartons; Russet steak cut fries, White shoestring fries, White 3/8” fries- skin on and White 3/8 “ fries without skin. The higher solid content of these special potatoes means that chips and fries absorb less oil during the cooking process, and the low sugar content delivers delicious, consistently perfect golden-brown chip & fries. They enable foodservice operators to capitalize on healthy menu trends since A Cut Above potatoes absorb very little oil during the frying process resulting in a healthier offering. They can also be baked rather than fried if they choose. With A Cut Above potatoes, it’s easy to create signature offerings with the addition of interesting, bold or exotic spices and seasonings.
